Oxygen Network Shifts Focus To Crime

Oxygen Network Shifts Focus To Crime

When Oxygen (ch. 632) launched in the year 2000, the network’s focus was solely on providing programming geared for women. Shows included sitcom reruns of Kate & Allie, Roseanne, Oprah, and Ellen.

Fast forward a few years, and Oxygen became a haven for trashy reality TV with standout titles like Bad Girls All Star Battle, Dogs with Jobs, Mo’Nique’s Fat Chance and All My Babies’ Mamas.

In recent years Oxygen moved away from reality TV towards the darker side of TV with a host of programming squarely situated behind the yellow and black tape of a crime scene. And starting today, the network shifts to a full time crime destination for women.
