College Football Week 3: What to Watch

College Football Week 3: What to Watch

C Spire TV is where to be to catch week three of the 2019-20 college football season, as Mississippi State takes on Kansas State at home and Ole Miss hosts Southeastern Louisiana.

Get the full scoop from SEC Central, a new analysis show from The Clarion-Ledger and Bash Brothers Media, as their team of football experts break down last week’s top SEC matchups, including (4) LSU’s dramatic win over (12) Texas, 45-38 in Austin.

Host Mackenzie Salmon, sports reporter at The Clarion-Ledger, and commentator Jon Wiener of Bash Brothers Media team up with two of Mississippi’s most accomplished collegiate football competitors, Wayne Madkin (MSU QB, 1998-2001) and Mike Espy (Ole Miss WR, 2002-05), on the program.

What to Watch
Kansas State at Mississippi State, 11 a.m. on ESPN (ch. 200)
Southeastern Louisiana at Ole Miss, 3 p.m. on SEC Network (ch. 220)

Elsewhere the SEC may look quiet, but don’t sleep on games like Alabama at South Carolina and Florida at Kentucky. A lot can happen in a day on the green in the SEC.

Mississippi State to Face Southern Miss in Week 2 Matchup on C Spire TV

Mississippi State to Face Southern Miss in Week 2 Matchup on C Spire TV

Mississippi State (1-0) will clang in their first game at Davis-Wade Stadium in Starkville this season by taking on the University of Southern Mississippi (1-0) on September 7. The Bulldogs have won all three meetings since rekindling the rivalry game in 2014, as well as the one before that—a 26-23 win over the Brett Favre-led Golden Eagles in 1989. They’re 17-point favorites heading into this meeting.

What to Watch
Penn State transfer Tommy Stevens will get his first home game experience in Starkville this Saturday. After completing 20 of his 30 pass attempts for 236 yards and two touchdowns in their 38-28 win over Louisiana-Lafayette last Saturday, can Coach Joe Moorhead’s ace pin down another W?

Wild Card: Southern Miss WR Jaylond Adams
Adams set the tone for USM’s 38-10 victory over Alcorn State last week with an 89-yard opening kickoff return, then followed that performance with an 80-yard punt return in the fourth quarter. MSU’s special teams will be watching No. 2.

Are you ready for some football? Don’t forget Ole Miss will open their SEC season against Arkansas in Oxford Saturday night. Here’s where to catch all the action on C Spire TV.
